Her story “Norms,” published in Triangulation: Last Contact, made the Tangent 2011 Recommended Reading List.

With author Nisi Shawl, Cynthia coauthored the diversity writing handbook Writing the Other: A Practical Approach (Aqueduct Press), which is based on their critically acclaimed workshop, Writing the Other: Bridging
Cultural Differences for Successful Fiction.
