Buddy Lortie

lortie buddieBuddy Lortie is a freelance researcher, specializing in pop culture, especially science fiction characters, themes and creators.

He was taught to read at age 3 from the daily Flash Gordon comic strip by his father, and graduated quickly to 19th century authors like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, HG Wells and Jules Verne. He has assisted on Dark Horse’s Flash Gordon collections, a biography of artist Alexander Raymond, writer Harry Harrison’s bibliography, a collection of science fiction quotations, and much more, and on several of TwoMorrows and FantaGraphics publications.
