3. The David Gerrold penned and Troy Boyle illustrated limited edition comic – A DOCTOR FOR THE ENTERPRISE – goes to press TOMORROW!  Yes, 8/11/14 is a day that will live in infamy…or something.  It certainly marks the end of a long and troubled trail, a path marked by pitfalls, deadly peril, heartbreak and even death!  (Something tells me that if David, Troy and I were to write this up as a ‘making of’, it would sell more copies than the comic, which of course is limited to a print run of 500 signed and numbered copies, many (yes many) of which have already been spoken for.  Fortunately, our memories tend to remember the good things and easily forget the pain and agonies that accompany great accomplishments.  If this were a pulp magazine, it’s title would probably be TERRIFYING TALES OF UTTERLY STUBBORN PERSISTENCE.  On a more modern newsstand, one can find the same magazine titled SLOG.  Don’t get me wrong.  We were extremely happy when we started this project and we’re extremely happy and excited now that it’s been put to bed.  It’s just that middle part….

If you’ve not pre-ordered your copy and want to be assured of getting one of these special edition comics, go here and follow instructions.

(Yes. Re-read the Point Belaboring Point.)

4. We have added a page to our Shop for Futures Past Editions that gives direct access to their Amazing Stories Classics titles.  Please check it out.

The Cthulhu Mythos is one of the 20th century’s most singularly recognizable literary creations. Initially created by H. P. Lovecraft and a group of his amorphous contemporaries (the so-called “Lovecraft Circle”), The Cthulhu Mythos story cycle has taken on a convoluted, cyclopean life of its own. Some of the most prodigious writers of the 20th century, and some of the most astounding writers of the 21st century have planted their seeds in this fertile soil. The Book of Cthulhu harvests the weirdest and most corpulent crop of these modern mythos tales… read more
