Online voting is now open for the 2022 Hugo Awards, the Lodestar Award for best Young Adult Book, and the Astounding Award for Best New Writer!
Read on for how to access the online voter’s packet for Chicon 8 members.
All ballots must be received by 11 August 2022, 11:59 pm PDT (UTC-7). See below for instructions for voting online and accessing the voter’s packet.
Eligibility to Vote:
You may vote for the 2022 Hugo Awards, the Lodestar Award for Best Young Adult Book, and the Astounding Award for Best New Writer, if you are a Supporting or Adult, Young Adult, Teen, Child, or Virtual Attending member of Chicon 8, the 2022 World Science Fiction Convention. To purchase a membership, please visit https://registration.chicon.org.
How to Access the Voter’s Packet:
Chicon 8 members may access the voter’s packet by visiting https://registration.chicon.org/ and entering the e-mail their account is registered under. Once you are logged in, either click on “Menu and Account Options” or return to https://registration.chicon.org/ to access the voter’s packet instructions and individual category downloads by clicking the “Hugo Packet” link.
How to Vote Online:
Chicon 8 members may access their online Hugo Award ballot by visiting https://registration.chicon.org/ and entering the e-mail their account is registered under. Once you are logged in, click on “My Memberships” to access your Hugo Award ballot under the “Vote in the Hugo Awards” link. All ballots must be received by Thursday, 11 August 2022, 11:59 PM Pacific Daylight Time (UTC-7).
How to Vote by Mail:
Download a printable ballot at https://chicon.org/home/whats-happening/hugo-awards/. Print the ballot and follow the included instructions carefully. Please complete the eligibility section, and remember to sign your ballot. All ballots must be received by Thursday, 11 August 2022, 11:59 PM Pacific Daylight Time (UTC-7).
Deadline
All ballots must be received by Thursday 11 August 2022, 11:59 PM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) (UTC-7). You may make as many changes as you like to your nomination ballot up until the deadline.
The winners of the 2022 Hugo Awards, Lodestar Award, and Astounding Award will be announced at the Hugo Awards Ceremony at Chicon 8 the evening of Sunday, September 4, 2022.
