Here’s the weekly post from my author blog on the new releases I found to be of interest in my three favorite romance genres (which are also the ones I write in!), and related areas such as time travel, steampunk, paranormal cozy romances and more. I do sometimes cover other releases of note in science fiction and fantasy.
As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts). I don’t pick up every single new release each week but try to provide a representative subset and lots of choices.
Here’s a teaser for this week’s first book (jump to the blog to see the approximately 80+ titles featured this week):
ALIEN DRAGON’S HUNT (DRAGONS OF KITALA BOOK 1) by Aline Ash
I’m screwed. First, I’m kidnaped by ugly, toad-looking alien slavers. Then, their space ship crashes. Stranded in the wilderness, I doubt my negotiation skills and strong work ethic will do me any good. When a massive beast swoops down from the sky, I’m certain I’m about to meet death. Rough scales, strong wings, and a huge tail flash in front of me. Hard muscles stretch over his humongous body. But instead of tearing into me, the warrior dragon eyes me. Judging by the way his loincloth moves, he likes what he sees. And who wouldn’t? Still chained and with my bare beauty on display, I’m practically gift-wrapped for him. I should be intimidated by this dominant and powerful barbarian chieftain named Haze. Instead, I wonder what it would be like to carry his babies. Yet Haze can never have me. I’m the property of the local mafia, who has invaded his planet. I’ll be sold to the highest bidder to entertain some gangster. If Haze fights for me, his tribe will die. Will this possessive dragon let me go to keep his tribe safe? Or will he claim me?
KRAMPUS AND THE CRONE by Honey Phillips
Can a horned alien warrior and an isolated woman grant two children their holiday wish for a family? Jaelle is lonely. Ostracized by the village, like her mother and grandmother before her, she poses as an old witch in order to eke out a meager living selling herbal remedies to people who don’t want to admit they need her help. When children start disappearing from the village, she is determined to find an answer to the riddle. She doesn’t expect to find a massive, horned alien – one who sees through all her disguises.
Since crash-landing on K.R.S Three, Commander Krampusarian D’Marchandar spends his time working on his ship and secretly observing the other inhabitants. During his explorations, he discovers a strange, beautiful female. It is an impossible attraction – but when he sees her treatment at the hands of the other villagers, he decides she is his to protect.
