Polar Borealis Opens Submission Window

Polar Borealis Magazine has opened a submissions window from now through to the end of March for short stories and poems on science fiction, fantasy, and horror themes. Poems can be up to 60 lines in length. Publisher R. Graeme Cameron pays a flat rate of $10 CA per poem. Short stories must be 3,000 words or less, at a rate of 1 cent CA a word, though short stories under 1,000 words receive a flat rate of $10.

Note that Polar Borealis publishes only Canadian authors or writers resident in Canada. The publisher is particularly interested in beginning writers, especially those who have yet to make their first sale.

Polar Borealis is a non-profit semi-professional magazine availble free online to anyone who wants to read it, yet pays contributors.

Cameron has published five issues to date. To read any of them, and to check out submission guidelines, go to polarborealis.ca
