I’ve “modified” my view on those works contained on the Sad Puppy List (see here for a full explanation and commentary): short summary: some items on the SPIV list ought to be considered despite the absence of a public repudiation.
I’ve added two items to the list of Finalists I’ll consider casting a vote for.
(Note: others may be added back onto the Finalists list as additional information becomes available.)

You do realize File 770 was on the Rabbid Puppy list as well?
Read. You do realize there are other items on the list that were on both slates? Read what it says.
The SP4 List for Best Novel had 132 recommendations Mr Davidson on his List has One. Looks like a duck, waddles like a duck probably is a Slate https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3xQY43MM8pKdm1nWFA3em5yVm8/view
Daniel, you’ve made your point. No one else other than you and those who want to believe in the puppy narrative think there’s any similarity between the puppy slates and a slate-free list, but you obviously do and now everyone else knows it.
Thanks for playing.
LOL the Puppy list with over a hundred entries for Best Novel is a Slate but your list with a single entry in that category and most categories is Not a Slate,. Right I think that is what is called doublethink, but I still see 4 fingers
This is a perfect example of a Slate, much more of one than anything either group of Puppies put forth almost every category has a single selection
I strongly urge you to look up the definition of a slate:
What you are calling a “slate” is merely a listing of certain finalist works that do not appear on slates.
There is no attempt to encourage people to vote this list.
Further, the items are not numbered in terms of preference – which would be required to place them on the final Hugo Awards ballot.
This listing is the equivalent of a listing of, say, all fantasy novels appearing on the final ballot, or all stories published by Analog on the final ballot.
Finally, its an objective listing as opposed to a subjective one: items on this either either do not appear on EITHER puppy slate OR the creator’s responsible have indicated that they do not want to be included on slates.
Hardly a slate.
Your attempt at conflating this post with puppy BS – FAIL.
Yet, you list twelve categories with only one choice.
Yes, even your “no untainted” is an implicit slate-like vote for NO AWARD, as you’ve stated many times before.
Like I said on your previous post.
You use the word “list” and “slate” – I don’t think you know what those words actually mean.
When you provide a “list” – someone may certainly take it as a recommendation or a slate.
And when you provide only one choice in the majority of categories, it most certainly raises an eyebrow or two from most reasonable people who’d look at it.
Call it what you will. The rest of us will chuckle and shrug.
have fun
